# ABB B2x meter TESTING ETM CONSUMER The ABB B2x energy meter communicates over **Modbus RTU** on the hub's RS485 bus. Three-phase measurement (voltages, currents and power per phase). ## 1. Hardware required - An ABB B2x meter - A USB↔RS485 adapter on the hub side - Bus cable, 2 cores (A/B) + ground ## 2. RS485 wiring A↔A, B↔B, common ground, **120 Ω** at the end of the bus. ## 3. Modbus addressing A unique slave address on the bus (`1`–`254`, default `1`). ## 4. Adding in PowerSync Added by **automatic discovery** or **manually** (entering the slave address). See [Adding a device](../../installation/application.md). --- ## Reference **Manufacturer:** ABB **Plugin:** `AbbB2x` #### Supported models | Model | Role | Transport | Pairing | Quantities | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | **ABB B2x energy meter** | Energy meter | Modbus RTU | Auto-discovery / Manual | 14 | #### Per-model detail ??? abstract "ABB B2x energy meter — `abbB2x`" _Discovery parameters:_ | Key | Label | Type | Range | Default | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `slaveAddress` | Modbus slave address | uint | 1–254 | `1` | _Settings:_ | Key | Label | Type | Range | Default | Read-only | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `slaveAddress` | Modbus slave address | uint | 1–254 | `1` | yes | | `modbusMasterUuid` | Modbus RTU master | QString | — | — | yes | _Measured quantities:_ | Key | Quantity | Type | Unit | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `connected` | Connected | bool | — | | `currentPower` | Current power | double | Watt | | `totalEnergyConsumed` | Total energy consumed | double | KiloWattHour | | `totalEnergyProduced` | Total energy produced | double | KiloWattHour | | `frequency` | Frequency | double | Hertz | | `voltagePhaseA` | Voltage phase A | double | Volt | | `voltagePhaseB` | Voltage phase B | double | Volt | | `voltagePhaseC` | Voltage phase C | double | Volt | | `currentPhaseA` | Current phase A | double | Ampere | | `currentPhaseB` | Current phase B | double | Ampere | | `currentPhaseC` | Current phase C | double | Ampere | | `currentPowerPhaseA` | Current power phase A | double | Watt | | `currentPowerPhaseB` | Current power phase B | double | Watt | | `currentPowerPhaseC` | Current power phase C | double | Watt |
